The wet hopper is designed for pre-soaking produce with air agitation to softer soil and acts as a buffer for constant flow. The produce enters the wet hopper through options like hopper, conveyor, or destoner and floats towards the outlet conveyor via a pump that creates water flow. While dirt sinks to the bottom of the wet hopper. Depending on the soil type, built-in air agitation cleans or pre-cleans the produce.
The standard machine is supplied with a stainless steel AISI304 frame, and bearings and drive/idle rollers are of mild steel. The product conveyor is made from mild steel, but on demand, it can be made from stainless steel AISI304, covered with rubber. The cleats height is 50 mm.
On demand, spray tubes can be integrated into the outlet conveyor of the wet hopper if it is used as final washing.
